Request is a custom element that allows for API calls

The Request element uses a number of important actions that allow you to integrate data using any kind of http request you throw at it.

There are a few parameters that only accept objects. This example shows how to create urlParams using the Create Object element and two Variables.

  • Method: This can take GET, PUT, POST, or DELETE and must correspond with the request you are attempting to connect the request with.
  • URL: This is where you will put the address of the API you are calling
  • urlParams: This must take an object.
  • contentType: This currently can only accept application/json
  • body: This must take an object
  • headers: This must take an object.
  • onSuccess: This will return both a call and a response. The response may be received using the appropriate Get Values Elements.
  • onError: This will return both a call and a response. The response may be received using the appropriate Get Values Elements.
